Wash it clean Dry it again before use.Preheat in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes. CLEANING: Never use soap or detergent on stone. First : Remove excess food with a scraper before cleaning.Second: After the hearthstone has cooled, rinse with warm water while scrubbing with a brush.These stains are caused by grease, cheese, bread crusts and baked goods. These marks will not affect the performance or function of the stone.If you use our complimentary parchment paper pad on the pizza stone, you will not need to clean these. MULTIPURPOSE In addition to baking fresh or frozen pizza, this pizza stone set can be used for other culinary explorations. Great for making flatbreads, sourdough, scones, reheating leftover pizza with family and friends without making the dough soggy or coming into focus, cookies and more. The surface of the pizza stone will develop some stains during use, caused by grease, cheese, crusts and baked goods. This is all good. These marks will not affect the performance or function of the stone.
