After 14 years my original Weber Porcelain coated Steel Cooking Grids had rusted so much, that when I decided to disassembler the grill and do a complete restoration, I decided to also replace the cooking grids.These Porcelain covered Cast Iron Grids are nice, but I see two problems:- They are about a 1/4" shorter then the space in my Weber Genesis 1000, they almost look like they might fall in.- There are spots that the Porcelain did not get to. I know these are areas where rust can potentially start.I am undecided if I am keeping these since the reviews of the redesigned Weber Porcelain Cast Iron Cooking Grid is not that good.I am still in shock at how this grill has held up after nearly 15 years!
