This food thermometer is a very nice product. Some of its features that I particularly like are the easy to read back-lit display, the feature that allows you to set a target temperature for what you are cooking and the unit sounds off when to alert you when that temp has been reached, and especially the second probe that plugs in to the main thermometer for use as a "stay in place" probe when barbecuing, smoking, or baking in an oven. When you plug it in the display automatically changes to the remote sensor, then back to the main one when you unplug it.Besides the thermometer, lithium battery (installed) and extra probe, in the box were also included the instructions for use, a handy chart listing various meat temperatures/doneness levels, and even a little plastic disk to facilitate the removal of the battery compartment door for replacing the CR2450 battery without damaging the cover. Probably by the time we need to actually change the battery the little tool may be long lost, but that's OK: a nickel or penny should work just fine as well.As far as accuracy goes, we compared the two included sensor readings (on board and plug-in remote probes) and the temperature read the same for both. We also compared those readings to another thermometer that we have which we always regarded as very accurate, and that also was the same. For the versatility and the accuracy of this unit, as well as the reasonable cost (definitely towards the lower end of the spectrum for the features of this unit), I confidently recommend it for anyone.
