Love itThere are many other much more expensive units on the market like this period. So far, however, this itme does everything they do at a much better price. Only used a few times. Will update if there are any changes.I had bought a Taylor thermometer similar to this one and the Taylor only lasted about 4 months until the probe came out of the housing. However they did replace it with no hassle but in the meantime i needed a thermometer so I ordered these. I am astonished at the quality and the fact you get two of these with a battery installed and a spare one for each. It did come with two silicone basting brushes also. One nice feature I didn’t know about is it has a magnet built in so i can slap it on the fridge for easy access. The backlight doesn’t come on when you open it but a quick press and lights up for easier reading, it stays on for approximately 10 seconds then have to press again. It will power off automatically after 10 minutes but press a button and back on. Definitely would recommend this to anyone who needs a thermometer or two.This tester is quick to get to maximum temperature, so you don't hold your hand over the grill, in the oven or over a pan. A very key feature.I keep one in the kitchen for use at the stove or oven and another outside at the grille. Also got a set for my daughter. It is so nice not to guess whether your meat or fish is cooked and to what degree (especially if you have meat eaters at medium rare and well done)We love that there are two thermometers included in the pack. The cost was only a few dollars more for two. I have two kitchens, so this gives us the ability to have one in each kitchen. We have only had them for a few weeks, but we have enjoyed using them to check the temperature of meat while cooking or right after it finishes. There is a handy guide that was included in the box that is very helpful to give us the temperatures to cook meat to.I originally purchased to test the temperature of yogurt when making yogurt, but I have not had a chance to use it. A BBQ brush was included with each thermometer, that is a great to add Sauce to meat that is being grilled.We love our thermostat readers. Remember that you might have to calibrate it first, at least we did with ours. I love that it reads the temperature so quickly. My son who likes to BBQ also loves it, especially when cooking chicken now he knows when the chicken is done without cutting open the meat. I like that it has a magnet on the back. I keep it on my fridge, that way I don’t have to go looking for it when I need it. So far it’s a good product.Fast reading and easy to read, the metal thermometer has remained in the plastic body during the few uses so far. Those were both issues with the first one we had that came with a complete set of other tools and accessories. Nice bright color makes it easy to find! The magnet hold it securely on most any metal with adequate iron content, another nice feature! AND it didn't require any calibration! I reserve the right to change my rating if it becomes necessary, but I'm very happy with it so far. And with a second device included in the price that's lower than many single units, how can you go wrong?I bought this just before Christmas so that I could make sure that my turkey and ham were cooked to the right temperature without overcooking them. This product came two in a pack, so I could use one for each. I like that they are small but still easy to read and that they are magnetized, so I can just stick them on my frig beside the stove when they're not in use. Great and easy to use product.did I say these probes are excellent?
