I've used material like this before and been very pleased w/ it.... expect the same w/ this product. The 'navy' is 'navy' but doesn't match the 'navy' of my old car I'm using it in, but I knew it was a gamble as there are infinite shades of dark/navy blue. I have no doubts I can dye it to get just the right shade and it still being audibly transparent.
