First off, introduction. I'm just an ordinary Joe Schmuck. I don't work for, nor stand to profit from W.P. nor Amazon nor anyone else for this review. So, I'm probably wasting my time writing something none of you will see unless you click 'find this helpful'. (I'd sure like to know!) I'm no salesman! And I'm not paying to promote this review.This IS the BEST electric griddle out there and WILL last you decades, if you take good care of and use it as instructed. I've had since December '23 (this review is April '24) and convinced of it. I use and abuse this thing (your imagination does you no justice); take good care of it; and it's still looking and operating like brand new out of the box. I even put it back in the box for storage after clean and dry - I just saved the plastic and foam!My only point of contention is there's a drip pan underneath that MUST cool completely before attempting to remove and drain. So that definitely limits me to cooking for more than 4-6 people. But that is exactly what this was designed for... not an entire Army. The thing must be level and the drip pan sitting correctly or grease ends up all over the place. If, like me, you'd miss re-using the grease right away as with other electric griddles, that's easily mitigated by properly storing it for future use.This griddle cooks the most evenly of any home-use electric griddle on the market...even that cheap Chineseum 'Blackstone' knock-off electric one (and is WAY more durable and easier to clean). OMG, what a failure that was. But let's not talk about that here. It's WAY better and more durable than that horrible looking DASH one I'm seeing people experience living nightmares over.The heating elements are built INTO the center of this griddle and cooks fairly evenly, although one side is a little warmer than the other (as to be expected with any electric griddle). It is two-sided with one side flat and the other more like a grill. It is heavy duty, very durable, and drains well when level. I wouldn't recommend throwing, dropping, or taking a baseball bat to it. And it even comes with a handy cleaning tool, which works well.When used as directed, this is very safe, excellent, and will NOT disappoint...at all! I use mine on a covered stove top so I can use the overhead vent for the smoke. It even conjures up positive feedback when cooking lightly for a crowd!Maybe it's just me, but I do kinda wish it included a lid of some sort, making clean up afterwards a little easier, maybe. I dunno, that doesn't seem very popular in these type of griddles.Pictures are from a typical weekend breakfast, which is what I mostly use it for, but the possibilities are indeed endless! I LOVE the way my home style pancakes (little oil on the pan) cook on it - no dark lines running through! Bacon is perfect! I wish I'd've shown the omelette I made...came out flawless.All I can say is stop doubting and buy it! You will not regret it! W.P. is a known brand and this should definitely add to your cooking repertoire!
