Sometimes I get very plump turkey burgers that need a bit of pressure so the heat reaches the center. This BBQ weight does the job to push things down a bit. Enough to cook better but not too heavy as to burn the meat.Also it helps on thick steaks! Items received on time as described. The base have a nice little squares grid. Handle and construction is perfect and solid. Item will not rust but needs to be dry after wash. Very happy to found it in Amazon since is not the type of product you can find easily. Buy at least one and test it... you will probably get a second one. I will!
