Before I replaced the grille I painted the metal supports behind the grille, it helps the look if your truck is as old as mine and the paint is a little worn-out. I like the quality of the product and it is strong, I like that when it comes to debris striking the grille, it should protect the radiator a little better with larger objects (the openings are 1 inch square).
