It fits over the pedestal with its attached condiment tray perfectly in both diameter and length.The cover is exactly as described. It is a good quality heavy duty cover with dual side air vents to protect against excess moisture build up.It goes on and comes off easily with room to spare!I store the grill’s temperature control indoors in the bottom storage drawer of my electric oven. But this cover will fit over the grill with the temperature control attached for those that leave it attached to the grill plate outdoors (although It will take a bit of careful maneuvering to get the cover on straight).If you need additional protection from wind during storms you can easily wrap a bungee cord around the cover below the condiment tray on the pedestal. (Note: Recommend toggle ball bungee cords).Although it has experienced some rain it has not been directly impacted by heavy rain storms as it resides on a covered porch but it appears sturdy enough to stand up to a heavy rain.
