This was easy to set up. Light enough to throw on my ski pulk with some wood.My teenage child had said that snow camping would be more enticing if there was a fire to lounge by. I went on the hunt for the right product that would work in our deep wet snow of the PNW. I combined this fire pit with a grill pad and it worked wonderful. My fire did not fall through the snow. You can see I had a 2nd setup ready to go if we melted and sank, but the pad was just the right touch.Now the only question is - do I get another one to use to maintain social distancing when I take my girl scout troop snow camping?
