It arrived today and was easy enough to fill- The illuminated fuel window reservoir is a nice feature, you can clearly see at a glance how much butane there is. I am use to a triple flame torch lighter which is definitely more heavy. before filling the lighter I closed the valve completely, then turned the valve to the maximum open position to get a feel for how much adjustment control I had to work with. i filled the lighter and adjusted the valve between the 2 extremes. Ignition occurred in the very first try - and I knew I could adjust the lighter's flame up or down to suit me.I decided I would give this lighter a 30 day trial to see how well it holds up before I commit to any recommendations (either good or bad) so that I could give an honest review that would help other shoppers that are thinking about making this purchase.Follow up: It works fine, due to it's smaller reservoir, you will fill it more frequently,. With the red flame I would classify this more of a novelty lighter, good for cigarettes, lighting a cigar - I would recommend a larger lighter with more than 1 jet.
